Fletcher update - October 2009

Since signing our development deal last July, Regan Latimer has been working on the script for the pilot episode of the television series, B.J. Fletcher: Private Eye (how wicked awesome does that sound!?).

Regan has been mentored by George F. Walker, creator of CBC series This Is Wonderland and current TMN series, The Line.

Summer Shenanigans

While we all have a great time working together, we have a wicked awesome time playing together too. This past summer, we celebrated four birthdays - Lindy, Karim (Magnum) Jonathan (Doyle), and Sean (Louis); Dana appeared at SummerWorks 2009, Lindy took up stilt walking, Vanessa marched at Pride and the team enjoyed a day at the races (all in the name of research, of course!).

Here's our summer in photos... fun times!

Eurout's 1st birthday

Did you know that around one third of you live in Europe?

Our friends at Eurout.com recently celebrated their first birthday. They've been wicked awesome in supporting and promoting Fletcher so we sent along our associate producer, Rochelle Dancel, to their first meet-up and birthday events in Hamburg, Germany. Other guests included Shirin Papillon, founder of One More Lesbian, and the amazing Brit chick band, Greymatter.

Guests were treated to a walking tour of Hamburg, led by Eurout's entertainment editor Natazzz (right, with Rochelle), lots of coffee, beer and steak, and an intimate, kickass performance from Greymatter.

Thanks to everyone at Eurout for supporting Fletcher - we look forward to being there again next year!

Catch Vanessa Dunn live on stage!

We're often asked where you can catch our talented cast away from their Fletcher appearances.

Our lovely Vanessa Dunn (aka Jenna Watson) will be appearing in a staged reading of Eileen Atkin's play, Vita & Virginia. Vita & Virginia is based on the love letters between Vita Sackville-West and Virginia Woolf, two of Britain's greatest woman writers of the 20th century.

Vita & Virginia is at the Capitol Theatre in Port Hope, ON, (one hour from Toronto) on Sunday, November 22 at 3pm. For more information please visit First Stages Theatre.

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING B.J. FLETCHER: PRIVATE EYE!
